The staff at Banys Verge Del Carme are attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming environment that sets the tone for a relaxing dining experience.

The menu is a true reflection of the Mediterranean's rich culinary heritage. Fresh seafood, locally sourced vegetables, and traditional Catalan dishes take center stage, offering something for every palate. One standout dish is their seafood paella, a savory masterpiece brimming with shrimp, mussels, and clams, all cooked to perfection in a rich, aromatic broth. This dish alone captures the essence of what makes Mediterranean cuisine so special: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and careful preparation.

For those who prefer something lighter, Banys Verge Del Carme offers a range of salads, grilled vegetables, and tapas-style small plates. The grilled octopus is a fan favorite, tender and flavorful, served with a zesty lemon dressing that perfectly complements the richness of the dish. Pairing it with a glass of wine from their curated list, which features both local Catalan varieties and international selections, will elevate your meal to the next level.

In addition to their seafood offerings, the restaurant also features several meat dishes, including slow-roasted lamb and tender beef steaks, all cooked with an emphasis on quality and flavor. The flavors of these meats are enhanced by traditional Mediterranean herbs and spices, creating a harmonious balance between rustic and refined. It’s clear that Banys Verge Del Carme takes pride in its sourcing and preparation, ensuring that each plate is a true representation of the Catalan culinary tradition.

What sets this restaurant apart is its commitment to seasonal ingredients. The menu is updated regularly to reflect the freshest produce available, ensuring that every visit brings something new and exciting. Whether you're dining in the summer when the tomatoes and peppers are at their peak or in the fall when the mushrooms and truffles shine, you can expect to taste the best of what the season has to offer.

For dessert, the restaurant offers a selection of house-made sweets, including the classic crema catalana, a custard dessert similar to crème brûlée but with a distinctly Spanish twist. The dessert is rich and indulgent, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust that adds a delightful crunch.

As for the location, Banys Verge Del Carme benefits from its proximity to the beautiful beaches of Montgat, just a short walk away. After enjoying a delicious meal, you can take a stroll along the shore or relax with a coffee at one of the nearby cafés, soaking in the coastal atmosphere.

Quite simply one of the most fascinating spots I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Perched near the sea, it offers splendid views to accompany your meal or indeed a most refreshing beer. The staff are delightfully welcoming, and should you be in search of a proper homemade dish, you will find it here in abundance.

Relaxed shady cafe on the beach, we only intended to have a drink but the friendly waiter explained the menu to us and we shared a few plates; croquetas, patatas bravas and super fresh and delicious sardines. All with a beautiful view of the beach at Montgat

The atmosphere is very good, specifically if you go there on uncrowned days. Price is normal for the location, and food is acceptable

Mainly, when we come here, and in the summer it's often, we have a great experience and the food is always lovely. A couple of times (2021) there was poor service but it seems much better this year.
